Film: Mirelight
Mirelight is an environmental allegory set amid the porous terrain of Estonia’s Soomaa National Park.
The experimental short film blends natural history, science-fiction and folklore, prodding the illusory boundaries between the human and natural world.
A companion piece in the ERM foyer reconstructs the film across three large LED panels. This video triptych reorients the narrative into a swirling abstraction of nature documentation and arcane symbolism. The work was created specifically for unda festival by Joey Bania and Baly Gaudin.
You can find this film on loop in the world cinema on the a-side of The Estonian National Museum. Follow the arrows for Mirelight.
